Building Expansion

What will an expansion
provide?
An all-weather facility for
our youth
Additional classroom
space for the school and
the Church
An outreach venue for
Church ministries
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the expansion?
The 8,000 square-foot building expansion includes a recreational facility, and four additional classrooms. This
expansion will fill a very basic, yet essential, need – giving our youth space to grow in mind and body!
How will our youth and community benefit from the expansion?
SGCS students will benefit by having access to a secure, weather-proof facility in which to be active. This expansion
will also provide much-needed additional classroom space.
The Church and community will benefit as the additional space can be utilized by various ministries like the food
pantry and Vacation Bible School. The extra room could provide shelter to the community in the event of severe
weather. Youth outreach events such as basketball camps are also exciting possibilities!
What is the total cost of the expansion?
The projected cost of the expansion is $1,000,000. Since the launch of the expansion project, construction costs
have continued to rise. Our hope is to complete this project before building costs increase again. Thankfully, we have
been able to raise approximately $650,000 so far.
When will construction begin?
All architectural plans are complete and construction will be scheduled once funding is in place. The vision is that
construction can be Summer 2012.
Do you accept gifts of stocks, bonds, etc? How would I make a gift of this kind?
Yes, we will gladly accept gifts of this nature. Our financial representative, Peter L. Horton of
Edward Jones, can be reached at 281-491-0244 or Peter.Horton@edwardjones.com to provide detailed
information.
Who should I contact about questions or donations?
